As of 30 November 2020, the Energy Port published new versions of the Ship Shore Safety Checklist (SSSCL) and the Bunker Safety Checklist. This update is based on the fact that ISGOTT (International Safety Guide for Oil Tankers and Terminals) revised its checklists in the latest edition. ​​​​​​​

ISGOTT’s intention through the new checklists is to ensure that the delegation of responsibility between terminal/vessel/bunker vessel is clearly communicated and to highlight the impact of the human factor. Both SSSCL and the Bunker Safety Checklist are divided into a pre-arrival section and one with checks after mooring

The Port of Gothenburg wants to make it clear that the sharing of information by the quayside between the vessel and the terminal is of the utmost importance, and despite changes in work methods involving a reduction in physical contact, it must take place in a safe and responsible manner. The hope is that the new checklists will create good conditions for safe handling for vessels and terminals within the Energy Port.
